If you wanted something, you went out and got it.

Saw Emeril today at Camerons Products booth. I was surprised that he wasn't a headliner speaker.

Linda Ozag took up photography early in life. She received an M. A. degree in Linguistics. Self-taught in photography, she perfected her technique in 35mm still photography and filmmaking. Warner Brothers Studios awarded her a filmmaking scholarship to intern in Hollywood, CA. She took Eliot Porter's last workshop in Maine and kept in touch with him until his death.

An interest in photography led to research, language studies and travel in Mexico, France and Japan. Ozag recollects, "I devote all of my spare time and energy to photography, a constant source of wonder that transforms the world through my viewfinder."

For 35 years, Ozag was a bilingual teacher in Chicago. After retiring in 2007, she is now pursuing digital photography and filmmaking and is able to devote more time to her personal photography and cinematography.

Her photographs use both color and imagery in interpreting the world in front of her. Her photographs celebrate life in all circumstances and capture faces, moods and a sense of place and time.
